[JONATHAN] Creative Engine!

With the convention season fast approaching (Image Expo in four weeks!), I've been busy preparing new items for sale. With this year being our group's second go-round for conventions, I feel like I have a better grasp on pre-convention preparation and I'm doing my best to take advantage of the available time. The conventions always have a way of sneaking up!

One of my goals for this year was to go through a printer in making this year's sketchbook. I'm happy I put together a small sketchbook last year through the all-too-familiar FedEx Kinko's, but I'm certain that having the book actually printed instead of being replicated through a copier will only help the book's quality and presentation.

This year, I decided to print a 24-page, digest-sized (6"x9") sketchbook through on-demand printer Comixpress. I've seen some books printed through them and liked the look and feel.

The title of this year's sketchbook is Creative Engine! It's in reference to that innate drive in all artists that move us to create -- that internal desire to go make something new. This year, I'm determined to keep my creative engine running and running strong. I've got more plans and goals for this year and I want to get to them all!

More new convention items to share soon!
